Poetry Salon + Morning Tea
Join Us for a Special Poetry Salon with Madeleine F White
We are thrilled to announce a unique opportunity to connect with acclaimed poet, novelist, and editor, Madeleine F. White, as she shares powerful readings from her second published poetry collection, 'Maiden Mother Crone'.
Discover the Divine Feminine and Personal Transformation
Madeleine F. White's 'Maiden Mother Crone' is described as "a compelling, highly affecting memoir in verse that delves into the intricate tapestry of womanhood". Her poems are "part myth, part prayer, part battle cry" that speak to the journey many women take to reclaim spiritual space in traditions that have often rendered them invisible or voiceless.
During this Salon, Madeleine will guide us through an exploration of the divine feminine, which in her work is not merely an idea but is profoundly embodied, speaking "as myth, as memory, as landscape". The collection challenges narrow spiritual narratives that exclude or diminish the feminine, drawing inspiration from the older, more matriarchal nature of Celtic and Nordic traditions. It stands as a 'cri de coeur' for women who have been side-lined, abused, or exiled from faith communities, urging them to find their own seats at the table.

Engage in Dialogue and Contribute to a Collective Voice
Following her reading, Madeleine will open the floor for a Questions and Answers session, inviting you to delve deeper into the themes of her work and her experiences. This is a chance to engage in a "shared dialogue" about the expression of feminine values and how they can catalyse the world we wish to build, putting "care, empathy, and collaboration at the heart of everything we do".
Madeleine will also share exciting details about her upcoming project: 'Maiden Mother Crone: The Anthology'. This forthcoming book, the third in The Crossing Places Series, aims to build community through poetry. It is being co-created with contributions from anyone "called to contribute to the explosive expression of the spiritual feminine," allowing "tribes of seekers, creators and survivors to come together to rewrite what we’re told we should be, into who we actually are". The Anthology, edited by Madeleine F White and Mary Petiet, will also welcome the voices of "fathers, sons, brothers, partners and colleagues" to weave their stories alongside women's experiences. She encourages all to submit up to three poems that touch on the life stages of Maiden, Mother, or Crone, along with a short author bio.

Seeking Submissions
Maiden Mother Crone: The Anthology

Madeleine and her publisher Mary Petiet are seeking submissions for 'Maiden, Mother, Crone: The Anthology', the third and forthcoming book in The Crossing Places Series. This anthology, edited by Madeleine F White and Mary Petiet, aims to build community through poetry.
Its intention is to create space for the explosive expression of the spiritual feminine and to foster a shared dialogue that helps catalyse the world we wish to build by putting care, empathy, and collaboration at the heart of everything we do. This project will allow "tribes of seekers, creators and survivors to come together to rewrite what we’re told we should be, into who we actually are".
Submission is open to all, including "fathers, sons, brothers, partners and colleagues" who are invited to weave their voices and stories in alongside women's experiences. Madeleine F White's own work in 'Maiden Mother Crone' serves as an "open invitation to other women to tell what matters to them through a place of empowered creativity".
For those interested in contributing, please send up to three poems in a Word document that touch on one of the life stages of Maiden, Mother, or Crone. Remember to also include a short author bio with your submission. This anthology is committed to fostering intimacy between writers and readers, empowering positive creativity, and connecting people through shared poetic expression. You can find more information about submissions on the Sea Crow Press website.

Madeleine F White
The poet and co-creation pioneer, charts her life in verses that eviscerate, challenge, demand, comfort and amuse in equal measure. By sharing her own path from lost to found with her Horse, her Truth and her Faith to guide her, these poems become way markers for others seeking to reclaim the sacred power in their own lives.
Starting with The 'Horse And The Girl' and continuing With Maiden Mother Crone, this extraordinary series offers a path of hope, healing and ultimately self-expression. Culminating in 'Maiden, Mother, Crone: The Anthology', it invites all those who find themselves responding to Madeleine’s work to use their own verse to open up opportunities for growth and self-discovery and challenges women and our allies to come together to express experiences of the feminine through shared values, ideas and stories in different settings, particularly through nature and the natural world.
‘I’ll weave pixels into promises and shared words into prayers of hope, and so transform this world of men to somewhere crones can fly again.’
