Peter Roe is Lead Editor of The Jawbone Collective: "My own journey into writing came after a life-changing accident. Writing helped me through some very interesting and challenging times. Running workshops, open mics and creating publishing opportunities is my way of giving back.

I love to give people confidence, a voice and the knowledge to grow. There is nothing more satisfying than that moment of epiphany, when the light goes on in someone's eyes... They get it!"

While sharing work is encouraged, it is not mandatory for participation. For those interested in performance opportunities, Peter continues to host regular spoken word events in the West Dorset region.

Peter Roe is a prize-winning poet and flash fiction writer with extensive experience in performance and education. A former Bard of Dorchester and host of Jawbone at the Poet Laureate, Poundbury's monthly open mic. Peter has been widely anthologized and has three published collections and a novella. He has been the lead editor and producer of eighteen books and pamphlets. As a frequent performer across the South-West, he brings both artistic expertise and technical background to his workshops.

Poetry & Creative Writing Workshops

In person and online offerings throughout the year

A wonderful opportunity to take time out, explore and draw out your creative voice on the edge of the Jurassic Coast

l loved how much freedom we were given, especially when it came to wandering the grounds and with the prompts. Not boxed in, but rather guided which was different from a lot of previous workshops. Also, the location was gorgeous. Would love to visit there again.
